What to Expect

The group departure
difference.

Our group departures are not package tours. They are carefully structured expeditions led by people who genuinely know the wildlife and ecosystems we explore, and who care deeply about doing it responsibly.

Intentionally Small

A maximum of six to eight travellers per departure. Small enough to move quietly through wildlife habitats, flexible enough to respond to every sighting and opportunity as it arises.

Expertly Guided

Every departure is led by knowledgeable local expert guides who live and breathe these places. Their depth of field experience transforms every sighting into a genuine learning moment and every habitat into a story worth understanding.

Exceptional Stays

Accommodation is chosen for location and character, not just comfort. Wilderness lodges, riverside chalets, and rainforest research centres: places that put you as close to the wild as possible.

Fully Managed

Every transfer, meal, activity, and entry is handled for you. You arrive with a single bag and a sense of curiosity. Our team handles every detail before you land and remains available throughout your journey.

28 Aug to 8 Sept 2026  ·  12 Days / 11 Nights

The Journey

Sri Lanka packs an improbable amount of wildlife into a small island: leopards in the dry-zone thorn forest, elephants on the floodplains, and endemic birds found nowhere else. We move between four very different reserves, letting each habitat show you something the last one could not.

Expect close-range opportunities with the Sri Lankan leopard (Panthera pardus kotiya), Asian elephant, sloth bear, and purple-faced langur (Semnopithecus vetulus), alongside a remarkable diversity of endemic bird life.
